Biographie!!

Kai Owen grew up in North Wales where his love for performing showed at an early age. He appeared in Oliver and Fiddler on the Roof while in Senior School. At 18, he moved to London to attend the Mountview Theatre School from which he graduated after studying there for 3 years.

Kai first professional role on the stage was as Ariel in The Tempest, but his big television break was opposite Robson Green in Rocket Man. Kai plays Rhys Williams, the husband of Gwen Williams formerly Cooper (Eve Myles) on the sci-fi show Torchwood, it is a recurring role. He has attended science-fiction conventions for this show.

Kai lived in East Finchley with his fiancée, actress Sarah Wilson. The couple plans to marry in 2009.
